Property Analyst - 892640
Purpose of the Position
- Perform the material, equipment, and disposal management duties within prescribed timeframes and within customer requirements for both Michoud Assembly Facility, LA and Stennis Space Center, MS.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for decision making for all material, collateral and non- collateral equipment transactions in the NASA Property Management Systems for SAP, NASA Real Property Management Systems for SAP, Disposal and Maximo;
- Responsible for the accurate daily input and maintenance of the NASA Property Management System(s) and and the data held within;
- Responsible for preparing the schedule, opening and closing of the equipment /material inventory;
- Acts as liaison between Facility Contractor and NASA Logistics team regarding NASA equipment/materials;
- Responsible for tracking all Space Act Agreements (SAA) for NASA in the Real Property Management System (RPMS) which may aid in financial planning for the customer;
- Keep accurate records of RPMS as needed to perform tri-annual inventory of real property equipment; this data is critical for site value and financial reporting
- Responsible for all transactions in the disposal system records including the monthly 1800 account report, annual 623 report and the annual precious metal report.
- Responsible for having an accurate screening list of excess property prepared within NPDMS; these reports are used for financial planning for obtaining new equipment.
- Responsible for preparing each auction or sealed bid sale listing to assure maximum proceeds are obtained.
- Manage the collection, reporting and disposal of scrap materials. Manage the special handling of items containing precious metals or the raw silver flake prepared by the photo lab;
- Provide proper guidance for the security and storage of excess/surplus items to assure maximum reutilization sale potential. Comply with NASA policy guidelines 4300 concerning disposal of excess property.
- Responsible for the SSC Exchange/Sale program along with maintaining an accurate database of the proceeds obtained for reporting to NASA FMO;
- Responsible for the proper transacting of the Stevenson-Wydler property, loan and grant property.
- Perform the disposal management duties within prescribed timeframes and within customer requirements;
- Manage the collection and reporting of data for equipment;
- Provide proper guidance to the end users;
- Comply with NASA policy guidelines NPR 4100, NPR 4200 and NPR 4300 concerning the control of material, equipment and disposal of excess property;
- Perform the property management duties within prescribed timeframes and within customer requirements;
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must pass company and NASA required background check and be eligible to obtain a NASA security badge
- High school graduate or GED equivalent with 4 years’ experience in property management.
- Computer skills required.
- Knowledge of the Property Process.
- Required to have CPPS certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment and must maintain during employment.
Working Conditions
- Physical effort involving able average standing, sitting, walking or detail work.
- Occasional risk of injury due to hazards.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Sit for six hours per day
- Dexterity to operate office equipment as required by the position
- Bending, stooping, walking
- Bend and stoop six hours per day
- Work overhead with minimum 20-pound load
- Walk up/downstairs frequently
- Stand seven hours per day
- Wear PPE gear six hours continuously (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves)
- Tolerate extreme cold/heat for three hours continuously.

Other Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain access to government facility.
- Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
- Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.
