Purpose of the Position                                                                                                              

  • Tagging, inventorying and reporting on equipment.  Correcting, adjusting and reconciling records for custodians and end users.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                      

  • Responsible for tagging incoming equipment, inventorying and reporting scheduled and unannounced inventories standardizing item records with the MAXIMO/SAP, maintaining pertinent equipment information for input into MAXIMO/SAP, and assisting property custodians in reconciling difficult account problems. 
  • Assuring all lease equipment is properly tagged and entered into the MAXIMO/SAP. 
  • Required to comply with NASA policy guidelines. 
  • Must be able to use SAP uploading bar code readers to the inventory subsystem and execute reconciliation process to assure inventories are closed out per the overall annual schedule. 
  • Prepare and assist with warranty equipment and Bldg. mods. 
  • Perform equipment management duties within prescribed customer requirements. 
  • Act as a back-up to the Warehouseman.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications                                                                                                                          

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in property management.
  • Forklift certification, preferred. 
  • Computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of the Property Process.


Working Conditions                                                                                                                 

  • Physical effort involving able average standing, sitting, walking or detail work.
  • Occasional risk of injury due to hazards.

Physical Requirements                                                                                                            

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Dexterity to operate office equipment as required by the position.

Other Requirements                                                                                                                

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
  • Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
  • Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
  • Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.
