Purpose of the Position
The Project Management Associate reports to the Project Management Organization (PMO). The Project Management Associate provides administrative support to the project management team for project specific and day to day activities. The Project Management Associate is responsible for performing basic project management support tasks under the guidance and supervision of the Project Managers (PM), Senior PMs, and project management leader. The exact duties of a Project Management Associate may vary based on specific project requirements.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities of the Position
- Provide administrative support to the project management team in support of Task Order (TO) formulation (IDIQ project proposal development
- Assist with the coordination of schedules and resources
- Support the development and issuance of reports and metrics
- Copy, scan, upload files, prepare project management work documents / binders, update project folders
- Assist with purchase requests, as required
- Monitor logistics of shipments and deliveries
- Research and obtain documents, drawings, and specifications
- Assist in setting up project folders
- Support the project management team with the change management process, including the validation of change requests and change orders
- Work with project management to assist in the planning and execution of projects
- Assist with requests for information (RFI)
- Review required project management documentation for accuracy and completion, identifying errors and omissions
- Monitor ongoing project management work
- Provide support as necessary for engineering and constructability review meetings
- Participate in project team meetings i.e. Cost, Schedule, Engineering, Project management, etc.as required/assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent combination of education, Associates degree, and 3 years of work experience in related field.
Other Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
- Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
- Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
- Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license.

- Proficient in the use of standard MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of various office equipment.
- Familiarity with design, construction, and engineering terminology is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use resourcefulness in researching various documents and databases is required, as well as gathering various types of information or other resources.
